Reports To: Outreach Program Coordinator, Executive Director, Associate Director
Consults with: Senior Leaders
Pay: $20-30/hr.
Work Status: Part-Time, 2:00pm-6:00pm
Effective Date: September 2, 2022

Position Description & Key Responsibilities
​
The position of After-School Program Facilitator is a specialty role for a professional experienced running after-school programs. After-School Program Facilitator is responsible for planning and leading the afterschool program onsite with OMS students and community drop in students.

Lead and design afterschool programming and support staff to run activities.

Support staff in keeping the students motivated and engaged.

Help students and staff follow safe and appropriate daily living skills and self help skills including personal hygiene and bathroom routines

General Responsibilities

Control the amount of language used in the classroom, limit cross talk with co-workers

Assist with providing regular, ongoing, positive communication with parents

Direct questions from parents as needed to the school director and family engagement program coordinator.

Maintain confidentiality and have parent and feedback information in private meeting spaces not classrooms, front of building or other nonconfidential spaces in the school building.

Dress in professional attire.

Leave school areas clean and tidy at the end of the programs.

Skills & Qualifications
​

After-School Program Facilitator must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and time management skills, proficiency with writing and communication, good problem-solving skills, and must work well in teams.

An open mind to many methodologies and teaching strategies is required.

Requirements include a background check, current physical clearance, and a negative TB test.
