In-Home Support Staff
Location(s): Menlo Park, Hayward, Newark,
Santa Clara, Milpitas, Cupertino, San José, Saratoga
Reports To: Executive Director, Associate Director
Consults With: Staff Coach
Pay: $20-$35 per hour, depending on experience
Work Status: Part-time/Full-time
The position of In-Home Support Staff is a unique opportunity for professionals interested in a
career in education, mental health, behavioral health, childcare or other related service to gain
meaningful hands-on experience. Most home programs are 3pm-7pm with weekend flexibility.
Some home programs might be during the typical school hours. All materials, curriculum, and
training will be provided by Open Mind Center for Brain & Behavior.
Duties and Responsibilities
Follow an individual treatment plan based on individual assessments.
Keep the child(ren) motivated and engaged.
Provide support for social skills group, and individual programming.
Under the direction of the BCBA you might be responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing lesson plans.
Help students follow safe and appropriate independent living, hygiene, and toileting routines.
Be on time at the beginning of your shift and when returning from breaks.
Attend team meetings.
Assist with providing regular, ongoing, positive communication with parents, including but not
limited to, daily or weekly written and verbal reports.
Direct questions from parents as needed to the clinical director.
Administrative tasks as assigned.
Attire is Smart Casual and no perfume please

Proficiency with writing and communication
Good problem-solving skills
Work well in teams
Completion of undergraduate degree preferred
Completion or openness to completing a 40-hour RBT training course
